Primary Duties

The Culinary Externship Program with Colonial Williamsburg Company strives to provide a diverse experience in high quality culinary operations. This opportunity at the Williamsburg Lodge includes restaurant and banquet under one roof.

Projected starting dates for late summer/early fall 2010 Williamsburg Lodge culinary externs are:


  • Late August/early September - 2 openings

The Williamsburg Lodge and Conference Center: Newly renovated, this guest and conference facility combines the ambiance of an American folk art motif with contemporary comforts and conveniences. Families and conference attendees appreciate the spaciousness of the rooms and the proximity to the historic area of Colonial Williamsburg.

Externs with a culinary focus prepare seafood and poultry entrees, cook meats, broil steaks and seafood, and assemble entrees with high regard to sanitation and consistency to the standard

Maintain sanitation of station

Qualifications

Currently enrolled in an accredited culinary education program

Soup and sauce experience

Ability to (1) transport weights up to 50 pounds; (2) read food orders and production charts; (3) maintain standards listed below
